TIME WAS
NEVER HERE
about.
Piece of Now isn’t just a watch, it all started from a simple GIF I stumbled upon online right before the 2020 pandemic. “I’d love to have a reminder like that every day!” I thought when I saw it (…) I couldn't find anything right, tho.
The result? A mix of simple, earthy tones — beige and dark brown — that go with pretty much everything I wear. It’s light, it’s quiet, and… yeah, it tells the time — anyone can see the hands moving — but honestly? That’s just a side effect. For years now my wrist has worn it, and it’ll keep going, because what started as an unusual accessory has quietly become a modest talisman.
I went through dozens of makers before I found the right components. One for the bamboo cases. Another for the soft Portuguese cork. Then I just brought them together, letting the design evolve around the core message it shares every time I glance at my wrist: now. now. now.
